Raggedstar - Top 10 Digimon Tamers Moments

A list of my top 10 favourite moments from Digimon Tamers (3rd season). Made this to help out dpstq since he didn't watch much of the season and this is...well...my favourite.

Forgive the quality. I rendered it in Vegas, and it came to 2 GB. Running through WMM gave me about 90-100, so I had to compress the shit out of it. I'll post a translation of the gibberish.

NOTE: Since most of my footage is in English, I used the dub names to save confusion. Translation includes Rika to Ruki, WarGrowlmon to MegaloGrowlmon, Gallantmon to Dukemon, Beelzemon to Beelzebumon, Jeri to Juri, Kazu to Hikazu, and Henry to Jianliang.

Raggedstar - Ratchet Collection: OH THE GLITCHES!

THERE WAS A LOT MORE WHERE THAT CAME FROM! This has to be the glitchiest port I've ever played. The originals were no saints, but WOW, I've had to quit my game 3 times because of a glitch that broke it (in the entire years of playing the franchise I had to do it 3 other times, but that was over 8 games and 3 years). Most of these never happened to me in the original PS2 games, or if they did they were pretty rare.

Due to playing in HD, I couldn't use my equipment. So I needed to have my iPod handy to pick these up (as you can tell, I'm playing with 1 hand, oven using my nose to press buttons. Then again I can play Metro Speedway in Spyro 2 with one hand). Sorry for the quality and poor handling.

Here are some explanations of these glitches.

0:04 - I was backtracking to Blackwater City to get the gold bolt in the flooded tunnel. Swam through near the top and glitched outside of the map.

1:47 - I was escaping from the fish after a failed jump, so I jumped onto land. Got caught under the taxi and everything turned blue.

2:00 - These Gadgebots would consistently glitch out in this very area. Whenever I instructed them to attack, they would run in a random direction and get themselves caught and will not move unless I instruct them with another command (though then they'll glitch again when told to attack). Happened on all 3 of my playthroughs. Those two clips were done on the same playthrough, divided by a death BECAUSE MY BOTS WERE MORONS AND WOULDN'T KILL THE DAMN ALIENS!

3:01 - Near the end of this planet, you're trapped with several thugs and you can't get by without defeating the 3 there and the ones that respawn in their place. I used the bouncer and it killed the 3, but none respawned after that. Nothing I did could trigger the force field to go down, so I was forced to close my game.

3:43 - Same as above, but I used the plasma coil. I often come here to grind my stronger weapons, but the forcefield triggered again (I don't recall that happening in the originals) and wouldn't go down. Again, had to close my game. In between these attempts I used the sheepinator and got no problems.

4:15 - As you can tell from the previous glitches, dead bodies often don't disappear like they should (I noticed this most with GC). I get the bolts, but the bodies remain. After I slaughtered all these protopets with my trusty plasma coil, I noticed that most of them remained onscreen (including a hovering face-down dead protopet that was squished).

4:50 - Running in place was a common glitch I saw in all games in the collection (rarely in the originals), but most frequently in UYA. They will be locked in their running animation and will let you walk right up to them without any reaction

5:03 - The Ameboids of UYA frequently glitched. I got ones in the floor several times. They'll try to bite you but they can't quite reach. Hard to kill too. Found a few on their side too, locked in a walking animation but won't react.

5:46 - I DON'T CARE IF THIS IS AN ALIEN AQUATIC BASE. BOXES DON'T HOVER LIKE THAT!

6:02 - Was very far into the Qwarktastic battle to grind my weapons and get bolts, but my Qwack-o-blitzer seems to have broken the game. PS3 was completely non-responsive, had to shut off the console.

6:18 - This Ranger mission ends with you taking out the two turrets. I took them both out quickly with my Lvl 3 RY3NO but like on Snivelak I seemed to have killed an event-specific enemy too efficiently for the game to register. I looked all around the level to find something to trigger the end, but the level was completely empty (I think the Rangers were gone too for some reason, though that couldn't have caused it). Had to end the mission and restart. Used RY3NO again without problems.

6:39 - Listen closely. I didn't catch it on camera, but at the beginning of the Phoenix invasion I noticed the small robots and a ninja...fell through the floor. Sometimes I saw them peek through the floor, though you can't see it here. However, you can still hear the swinging noise from their poles (the outside noise drowned out the robots). All other enemies in the area were destroyed.

7:01 - Uhh, remember that part in my Spyro 3 fail reel when there was a ninja that wouldn't die? Well, here (the original version was made by the same developer btw) when I was entering the Phoenix's bridge I was welcomed by about 4 ninjas. No problem, but then I noticed my point-and-kill RY3NO was doing jack shit to them. I backed off and hid behind a barrier to keep my 20x multiplier intact. Tried to kill them again and noticed not only where they not dying, but the shots from it and my decimator were going right through them. On closer inspection, the ninjas in general were going spastic! I couldn't kill these guys, and when I tried to charge boot through them I lost my multiplier x____x.

8:01 - THIS glitch I like ^^.

Hmm, my iPod assigned this video to "comedy". I think you overestimate me, Apple.

Raggedstar - Sly Cooper - "Two To Tango" Ladder Shortcut

Yep, random gaming shenanigans with crappy commentary showing a rather cheap trick to skip part of this level. Has it been done before? Yep (according to a walkthrough I read soon after uploading), but I haven't seen anyone use it in the runs I've seen on Youtube.

Anyways, a few weeks ago, I was polishing the rest of my Master Thief Sprints off (I'll say it again, most are quite sadistic) and when I came to this level, I noticed I had 24 seconds remaining at the end (most people that uploaded were closer to 10). I didn't remember the layout, and I jumped to the ladder (because I didn't know better at first) which skipped a fair size section of the level. Today, reminded by watching Mr100PercentGamer do this level's sprint (shameless advertising, watch his stuff), I decided to try and do it again. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to match my time of 24 seconds remaining and proves once again any accomplishment of mine comes down to dumb luck.

In short, using a chandelier above the vault, it's possible to take advantage of Sly's good reach and hook onto the ladder while jumping. Jumping angles, timing, and possibly how the chandelier swings are factors on the success of the jump. If done on the first few tries, it can shave off much of the time you would normally spend going around.

Raggs Tries Tokyo Jungle

Forgive the boring post-commentary. I'm the only awake one in the house, had a rough day at work, and my original commentary buggered up. Audio might've buggered up with my recording of Sly 4's demo too (...that I recorded about a month ago), so I guess I have a lot of work ahead of me *sigh*. This was originally a 1 hour video, but I cut it down for time and how I REALLY don't want to drag out post commentary.

Anyways, in this video I just got Tokyo Jungle, a low profile Japanese game based around survival. It has been 10 years after the "poofing" of mankind, leaving pets feral, zoo animals escaping, and all animals trying to survive. Your mission here is to hunt, defend yourself, make territory, and find a mate to bring out the next generation where the process starts again. You lose when your legacy ends with the death of your last offspring. It's a very unique game that did very well in Japan and on Sept 25 came to North America. Getting good reviews here too, which makes me happy. It may be lacking in the audio and visual department, but for what it is, there is a lot to love.

Tokyo Jungle is available digital only on PSN for $15.

Raggedstar - My Collections [8] [Stuff Plz?]

I...have no other ideas for titles...

There has been Christmas and my birthday, so I got some moar stuff. My backlog is so huge by now, but I'm working on it.

WMM decided it doesn't want to accept MOVs anymore, but it seems like my capturing program does. Yay!

In a few weeks I'm going to post an update video, but it won't be relating to collections :3

Raggedstar - WHO'S A GLITCHY KITTY? :D

This isn't much, but I hate Cenobia enough to find joy in this :3.

I was playing the game through my Dazzle to test some recording qualities for my next GMV (I assure you, this won't be the quality I choose) and then when doing the time trials I started to notice Cenobia glitches out consistently if you make him wade in the shallow puddles, he often gets stuck and won't move unless you do.

This is the PS3 version btw. I haven't noticed this on the PS2, but the OTHER video here is with the PS2 and it's a little more...disturbing? 0-0

Raggedstar - PACKAGE FROM POSSKY!!!

Aka I Need A Working Tripod (srsly)

I sent Possk Jak and Daxter and Jak 2 last year, and she sent me a package with some random stuff since my birthday is in about 2 weeks. I...have nothing else to say except how she's currently getting her ass kicked in Jak 2 and she hasn't even started looking for seal pieces yet lol :3. Pray for her.

Raggedstar - My Collections [7] [Finishing Up]

Just finishing up the other video and added a few more things (mostly things I forgot). When I'm not at school I'm usually at work, so other than my pre-order of Skyward Sword, I won't be getting anything else interesting.

Raggedstar - My Collections [6] [I'M BORED, OK?]

There isn't really much focus in this video. This and the next one is mostly wrapping up some new stuff and some stuff I forgot to show throughout the videos. Oh, and stuff on my walls. STUFF EVERYWHERE!

Raggedstar - POSSK VS RAGGEDSTAR: THE ULTIMATE CLASH! [Pokemon WiFi Battle]

There was a dispute between AMV makers Raggedstar and xPosskx over superiority. Raggedstar thought Possk was superior and vise-versa (oh don't worry, Shado will get her video eventually). And so, Raggedstar made a dick move of a plan she created after wandering the internet. The deal was made and the fight would be at an end...through a battle of POKEMON!. If Raggedstar's "secret weapon" among her team (lovingly named "The Spartans". There is a 300 joke here somewhere but I can't put my finger on it) could be thwarted, then she would be the superior AMV maker. If the "secret weapon" does as it should, then Possk would be superior. This may seem rather confusing but just accept it (wouldn't even come to this if Possk was a good girl and claimed her rightful superiority in the first place). Who would win?

The Greeks invented cruel and unusual punishment. Past, Tantalus is stranded on an island where fruit and water are held slightly away from his reach. Present, er...this lol.

Sorry about the quality. I had to use a camera (my capture card won't work on my DS) and because of the noise I had to do it near the laundry room so people wouldn't complain. It's not too bad at least. Thankfully my DS is black so it blended with the dark room.

Comment of the day goes to TAR:
"1 person got owned by Raggs.
Oh wait..."

(Atropos = Raggedstar by the way)

Raggedstar - Spyro The Dragon (JAPANESE) - FAIL REEL!

IT'S MY 5TH YEAR AMV ANIVERSARY! What better way to celebrate my 5 years of inferiority than a fail reel of a fail game?

No, I'm not taking a shot at Spyro 1 itself (though it is my least favourite of the original trilogy). However, the Japanese version (NTSC-J) is...awful. It's not a simple dub of the text and audio. I outlined a few of them in my blog entry (here). I honestly can't play this version more than 30 minutes or so because it's just so frustrating and nauseating for the camera to get stuck all the time and me having to rotate it. At least the camera in the normal version is functional.

I had this project file sitting on my hard drive since November 2009, so I quickly did some commentary today. I have no more ideas for fail reels, so that's it for now. I was planning a KH Sephiroth fail reel, but it was too depressing and repetitive. FF7 Sephy is too difficult to record since if you die, the game resets and you have to go back to the last save point...which is before a Jenova fight and Bizzaro Sephiroth. You have to beat them before you can fight Safer Sephiroth.

I also disabled annotations because people complained and I can't moderate all the time.

-I started recording at Peacekeepers because I wasn't intending to create a fail reel at all. All you missed was my epic death in the homeworld because the camera wouldn't turn around towards shore.
-Spyro 2's subtitle was named "Tondemo Tours". It suffers from many of the same faults that this game does
-Spyro 3 never went to Japan, yet Enter The Dragonfly did.
-Glitch learned from yearofthe's video outlining how to get that key without chasing the first airplane thief.

Raggedstar - My Collections [5] [MOAR Movies n'stuff]

This video was originally done for my new(ish) movies, but I also put in two other things in. One I got not too long after I did the other video, and the other is a recent development I want to bitch about (and because by tomorrow morning, there is a good chance it'll be gone. You'll see why *facepalm*).

Wow, this is a short description, eh? Don't worry, for there shall be long-winded AMV descriptions in due time.

Raggedstar - My Collections [4] [2011 MOAR GAMES]

It's been roughly a year since my last collections series and I have got more stuff (though some of it will just be things I forgot to include before). I'm not a big vlogger, but I wanted to try out my sexy new camera that I got for Christmas. Sound is SO much better, so I didn't bother using my mic (so less work for me!).

The biggest increase is in my games. I'm not a collector, but there are so many games I wanted to play and I had a lot of time to burn (though this being the semester from hell + now having a job, it's getting harder to find time). Here are all of the games I got since the last collections video.

The next video will most likely be movies, then other knick knacks and stuff I forgot from before (I FOUND MY POKEMON CARDS BY THE WAY!).

Raggedstar - Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage - FAIL REEL!

I have rediscovered my love of the original Spyro trilogy (Spyro The Dragon, Ripo's Rage, Year Of The Dragon). Yep, Raggedstar is a closet Spyro fan. A few months ago, I started playing them. Since then, I have played each game 3 times (YOTD is at 2) with each at max completion. I can actually complete Ripto's Rage in an afternoon as well as beat all bosses without superflame (except Ripto. EDIT: Nevermind, I've beaten Ripto recently without superflame 3 times). Enough about how I'm supposedly good at the game. This video features some of my...less proud periods of playing. All footage was recorded in May (my 2nd time beating it this year, so I'm a little rusty). Although it may not seem like it, I really didn't die a lot outside of boss battles.

Since I recorded myself playing the first two games (not sure if I'm going to do the 3rd. Some of the challenges in there take me hours to do), I might do a fail reel of the first as well. More importantly, I'll be making a music video (hopefully) to a certain DragonForce song *cough*. Elements seen in DF are really suited to video games it seems.

Some things to note:
-No fails in Idol Springs and what remains of my Robotica Farms stuff. I only got hit by a guy with a hot dog on a stick. That's it.
-Some of my clips were deleted somehow. That includes my first try with Aquaria Towers, Crush, and Robotica Farms.
-Glimmer and Autumn Plains recorded without audio x_x.
-To non-Spyro fans for some reason watching, the dragonfly (Sparx) collects my gems and is my health meter. It goes gold, blue, green, gone, Spyro death.
-Some of my dialogue has been shifted. Forgot to turn the ripple off.
-No Speedway fails shown. Every Speedway I fail at anyways (other than Icy. I can screw up and STILL get a skill point there)
-It took 30 minutes for me to find that damn lizard in Glimmer x_x.
-Despite being blown to kingdom come (repeatedly), I never lost a life in Zephyr. Same goes for Magma Cone.
-About the end, I STILL don't know what happened when I faced Ripto. We were both at near death, but we hit each other. Even though Ripto was hit first, the battle was reset.
-Ice Cavern (Spyro 1) is where I lost my first life in the game...thanks to Shado *glare*.

Raggedstar - Spyro 3: Year Of The Dragon - FAIL REEL!

The final fail reel to close the last Spyro game made by Insomniac.

For those just joining us, this is a video of me playing Spyro 3, though focusing on the blunders, from being double-killed by a boss, to running off cliffs, and face-planting into the pavement while skateboarding.

As I said at the end of the Spyro 1 fail reel, my recorder decided not to record Sunrise Springs (first homeworld) and all of the levels inside the homeworld. Instead of going back and play it again (for another 2 hours), I decided to start at Buzz's Dungeon (where the cutscene and first fails are). The only Sunrise Spring level I have recorded was Molten Crater (?), since I needed to come back anyways to do Sgt. Byrd's challenge.

Notes:

-Spyro 3 is a crossbreed between games 1-2. The enemies leave gems, gem counts rise through levels, and the music is upbeat like the first game, but there are puzzles, mandatory arena boss battles, skill points, as well as characters, gem uses, and abilities from the 2nd.

-For those that don't know the game very well, something new is that for certain levels/challenges, you play different characters that you free. There is Sheila the kangaroo (ya, the same one that made me get flattened by Buzz x_x), Sgt. Byrd the flying penguin, Bentley the yeti, and Agent 9 the monkey.

-The original cut of the video was over 13 minutes long (not counting the Moneybags roasting session), so I had to cut it dramatically.

-Why is it that it seems so easy to beat Spike when you watch other people do it, but you can't do it yourself? (without dying 5 times that is)

-Can someone PLEASE smack Greta for making me use the cannon? It's hardly fair that I need to be blasted from the cannon and she just has to "fwee her mind" x____x.

-I didn't use to suck that much in first-person shooters, I swear it!

-Agent 9, I love you as much as I can love a gun-weilding psycho-monkey, but why are your puzzles so hard?

-I didn't know my voice could go that high 0-0.

-I frequently lose my controls in this game since I have to use the L-R buttons for some of the levels.

-The more I fight against the Sorceress, the more I appreciate the final battle against Ripto. Best.Boss.EVER!

-The "No sheep harmed" bit is a play on the gag at the end of the Spyro 1 credits, where it says "No sheep were harmed in the making of this game. A few gnorcs, but no sheep" (or something like that).

-I will not do Let's Play videos or tutorials because I have bad habits (duh, that's what these fail reels are about). If you want good LPs, check out people like RedDevilDazzy2007, Spyrojam86, and FourSwordsLord (I'll add more when I remember. Tell me if you find good ones so I can give shameless advertisements).

Raggedstar - My Collections [3] [Books and Games]

Wow, this video took nearly 2 hours to process?

Last part, yepyep. Of course the two are highly unrelated, but they fit together best as far as time went.

And sorry, my mic went REALLY bad for the games. The only place that had room involved me using the full length of my wire, so the mic itself was closer to my face.

NOTE: Yes, I use a PS2 and not a PS3, shut it. There are VERY FEW games I'm interested in for the PS3 (mostly the R&CF ones), and that isn't even all the games I indend to get for the PS2. If the PS3 had better/any BC, then logic says that it would be the better buy for me.

Raggedstar - My Collections [2] [Music, Gear, and POKEYMANZ!]

...as well as a fluffy visitor that was scratching at the door, making his public Youtube debut lol.

The second part of the My Collections series. This part covers my unseen DVD (Cowboy Bebop fangirls and boys, forgive me for not showing it last time. The DVD box fell off my bed and it wasn't shown), music CDs, assorted gear (clothing and accessores), and my Pokemon stuff (Pokemon is just that epic. It needs it's own recording). Sorry, but the cat is not a collection thing. He just...showed up lol (glad it wasn't a dog. They would've murdered the camera).

Ya, there WILL be a third part. I have some footage left over that I couldn't fit and I will hopefully get a 3rd (and final) part. It will contain books and games (one GBA and PC, a few DS, and PS1/2. Nothing else notable for GBC and GBA).
